what's the wattage of your light fixture and what is the size of your tank (gallons and dimensions if its not a normal size). You want at least 3 or so watts/gallon IME for mushrooms. Hopefully you have one actinic and one 10K or 14K daylight bulb. If that is the case, you are probably OK. But knowing the wattage and tank values will help even more . . .

i got a 75 gal tank with a coralife lightstrip, 2 bulbs, 1 is a 14k and the other is some sort of pink light, it came with it not sure what it is suppost to do.
got 1 more question if you don't mind, i got some white spots on my glass, it is real hard to get it of, i have to scrape it, it's not everywhere and not clustered, to small to take a picture of it, i just was wondering if you know what it is and if it's good for the tank, i'm not sure so i just scrape it off, thanks

If they're sprial shaped and hollow on the end they are just micro feather dusters. They're normal and will disappear over time. If they are flat and snowflake shaped they are a type of hydroid. They'll disappear too eventually.

We have two hairy/frilly mushrooms in one of our tanks with halides and we have them in an outcove. They do not require much lighting. We do target feed them mysis about once a week. They grow like crazy if you feed them.[IMG]

I had a nice one that grew really big, then it ate my fish. It was then traded for a red open brain. I miss my picasso.

I have a rock covered in them. Theyre some of my favorites. In lower light they get huge too. Never fed mine, I see mysis get caught in them but never sit there and watch for the hours it takes for them to eat them.

I have 2 of them. Never feed them, and they are getting huge. I too have heard of the big ones eating fish. I'm keeping A eye on mine.

I have 3 huge ones that I noticed ball up around some big chunks of food so occasionally I'll target feed them, but they are fine without it as well.
    Congrats on your first coral.
