    I have t5's on my 265G and they are working great...without the heat and cost of MH

    i have mostly LPS, but my SPS is responding well to the t5' too and my clams are happier than ever

    i personally would do a retro fit if u have a canopy :)

    Really I thought you had to have metal halides for clams. What king of t5's are you running kevin?

    That belize sun looks very cool and sleek btw.

    So for T5's don't I still need around 250W in that 24" area or am I misguided :) - I see that term retro fit but don't really understand what it is, is it just buying a ballast and bulbs separately without the fancy housing?
    So why is the Odyssea MH so much cheaper, just brand name?

    I am running 8 54W ATI bulbs check out my 265G build and u can see em :)

    wattage is kind of a thing of the past since T5's....they put out a crap load of light.

    yes retro fit is basically DIY

    and Odyssea is cheaper cuz it has cheaper parts...not that its not a good product...its just not cream of the crop
