after i put leds over my nano 16 gallon tank i am very pleased with the results, my corals have perked up alot. now i am getting halides for my 90 gallon reef, i dont have much to spend and i probably will buy used, on craigslist good fixtures are only 150 bucks. but what kind should i buy?

does anyone have any input on what halides to buy for my tank? brand? watts? etc

hmmm...well the odyssea metal halide fixtures are very controversial. In my experience, i've found that for the price..you cant beat it! as far as wattage, it all depends on what your going to keep, i would go with 7-10 watts a gallon. aquatraders.com sells odyssea fixtures. If you have the money to buy a good MH fixture, do it..but if you on a fixed budget like most of us, why not give it a try..if you do end up buying it, i would suggest buying different bulb. Hope this helps!
