    My Halloween Hermit was on my Superman Rhodactis and the guts came out of one of the polyps. I moved the Hermit crab for now. Will the polyp recover? Thanks

    Yes the coral will be fine, no worries. Exact reason I do not keep hermits.;)

    You sure it was guts? If my mushrooms get disturbed they send out these white tentacle things forget what the called but there not guts, used in defense or for feeding I think.

    It looks like white stringy stuff and the polyps got small retracted

    Yup mine do that whenever something messes with them. Yours will be fine.

    It wasn't a slime coat? Halloweens are aggressive towards inverts.

    Just white stuff from the center of the mushrooms. Now it looks like the whtie stuff is going back in side the mushrooms

    It's most likely feeder tentacles. A slime coat wouldn't go back in.

    It happened when the halloween hermit crab was on it. I assume it bothered it fo rit too happen

    They are mesenterial filaments, they should go back in.
