My sentiment and experience exactly. I just now read from a zooanthid supply in Florida that zooanthids like brine shrimp. I suspect that is wrong also. I have a two headed branch hammer recovering from a star polyp neighbor. It had a 20% recovery in two days after intensive filter feeding.
    Nitrates + 0 Phosphates 8 PPB.

So, I don't really need to target feed this coral then? I think I will leave it where it is on the sand bed for now until it gets bigger. ;)

Nice Tank, not overdone, lots of room to grow into. Regarding feeding your hammer I would not attempt filter food only until you are 100% comfortable with your filter food program. I like to mix Reef Roids (nightime) in a plastic cocktail cup of tank water, shut off my external circulation (sump) then let the internal tank powerheads circulate the filter food for a while closely supervised not to stress the fish. The tank loves it. That's what works for me, there are many different approaches.

    GOOD LUCK!

I appreciate you kind words. I'm still new to the hobby actually, so I'm still learning a lot everyday lol. I have some filter feeder food from reefcleaners.org that I feed my palys and my green shrooms from time to time. My fish love it as well lol. I have heard of reef roids along with some others that I have thought about trying, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet so to say.8)

Great! Just be careful that your free floating food is not large enough for @#%&! vermitid snails to snare. No flakes, ESV freeze dried plankton etc. You will see the food particles waiving in the current like tethered to an invisible string if this is happening. You can PM me anytime accordingly.

    GOOD LUCK!

    Gel Super Glue

Quick question, have anyone ever used the gel super glue to glue Hammer frags down?
