So, just picked up a frag of hammer recently. About 1/2 the tips are a nice green color and the other 1/2 are more a pink color, been like that since i got it. Is this due to possibly the age of that half or something else?

I think that is pretty... the dual color makes that one stand out imo. I look forward to learning why it is like that and possibly attempting to recreate such a marvel.

eh, i suppose if i didn't have that massive(in comparison to the hammer) pink tipped frogspawn right next to it then i would be of the same opinion. However, i got this to blend in and add the green to the mix. hoping that they'll fill out together eventually...

Am I seeing that correctly? Is the right green, left purple, and the middle stem a mix of both? I mean, I know that is the whole purpose of the thread.....But MAN!! that looks Cool!!!

I'm super jelly... I love Euphyllia corals and the fact you have a twin colored one makes me want it soooo bad. I say your a lucky dog for getting a find like that. It would be nice to know what causes that kind of a color split.
Again nice find and if you ever happen to get it to a mother colony size and decide to frag a chunk with both colors give me a call!

Right is green left is more a pinkish tip but looks more purple as its not opening up as much as the other two yet and the middle is indeed a mix. I've only had this for a couple days, today is the most open i've seen it so far actually. It is pretty cool looking, i suppose if it continue to grows and adds some more green to it i'd actually be very happy as it would achieve the look i was going for. Was just curios what was going on with it... give me a few min i'll get a new pic up.
