    I've kept both hammer and frogspawn and IMO they are both very hearty. Supplimenting will definitely help growth and color, but I've had my cal/ mag dip pretty low at times and they have been fine. Obviously, you don't want that to happen alot, but mine grew out really nicely.

    The keys are lighting, water params, and flow! Most people forget to mention flow, but mine liked more turbulent water where the polyps would move around. You don't want to point a PH right at it, but additional flow is what made mine take off.
