So my wife went to dislodge our queen conch from b/w two rocks this morning. He often gets himself stuck. Anyway, she put her hands in there while they still had lotion on them. Are we in trouble? I know this is a big no no, and she does to, but just wasn't thinking. Just wondering if there is anything that I should keep an eye on. We have a 90 gallon tank that is very new (about a month). We have a couple of shrimp, an angel, tang, and a bunch of CUC. I also have a 30 gallon sump, skimmer, etc.

    Thanks

with a tank that size, i doubt you will have an issue. However, for peace of mind, you could run carbon for a little while.

    I wouldn't be concerned.

I've done this before. It did not appear to have any ill effects other than rendering the skimmer effectively useless for a few days (bubbles lose their surface tension and break so no foam).

i try to be so careful but, i have done it also and never seen any problem from it. but i would be careful in the future. i do run carbon and a skimmer which I'm sure helps a bit with things like that.
