Hand sticking out of hermit crab shell

    Ok maybe not a hand. But it's the only word I can use to describe it. I noticed this crab at my LFS with what looks like a barnacle on its shell. Upon bringing it home it looks like its opening and closing.

    Agreed... a LIVE Barnacle. The "hand" you see is the animal feeding. :)

    FTR, they're usually short-lived as most aquarists keep their tanks too clean.
