A 380 with frangible ammo will easily finish a situation. 6 more rounds in the gun of that will keep a lot of other issues at bay too.

I do believe a 9 is my smallest round I would really carry, but if you want small, a 380 is hard to beat and still has enough power. Granted they make 9s basically as small as 380s frame wise.

Pepper spray has been proven to not always work. I would rather have a 22 short than a can of pepper spray.

I carry in Oregon a Taurus Millennium PT 145 Pro for personnel protection. Cheap $350 -+, light depending on your ammo, and packs a punch 45 ACP. It's been very dependable and consistant in practice, just don't expect to hit a target 50 tards away with any consistancy.

yeah, wish i could've tried your ruger 357, but they were sold out! wonder why?;) In the end, I have 2 awesome guns, and just needed a niche here and there gun when my clothes, activity and son won't allow a full sized, or i goes, won't allow comfortably a full sized. I'll carry the other 2 95% of the time, but when I'm literally gonna be running around chasing my 7 year old, flying a kite, etc, this guy delivers enough of a punch.;)

All of these threads on guns and concealing guns and the permits needed to conceal a gun.

Move to SD, looks like a bill is going to pass that will allow anyone who can legally own a handgun to carry it concealed w/o a permit.

I sold all 3 of my pistola's years ago. I may have to get another now though.

I have read a little bit about something going on where people would be able to carry without a permit, but I do believe that back ground checks are a rtealy good idea before selling a gun to somebody.

Heck ya, I'll take military CS any day rather than get sprayed again with OC.

Never rode the lightning but my department is deploying them in the next few months so that is about to change. Really not looking forward to being hit with a TASER.

We can already carry as long as it's not concealed.
I agree with the back ground checks but even someone with no history has the potential to go all Bernhard Geotz. So I figure if the bill passes (Gov. vetoed it but Congress is bringing it back to life today) I better have something to "throw" back other than a double quarter pounder w/ cheese.

It's a fact-of-life now days, if you don't protect your own nobody will! The cops can't be everywhere and society has decided that "what's yours is mine and I'll take it if I want it". It's so sad the loss of pride, respect for others and common decency. EXCEPT for those here at 3reef!!
