With most hang on skimmers the cup shouldn't be a problem then. I used Remora Pro on my old 75 for about 3 years and loved it, along with that AquaC's customer service is great too. We have sold many of them at the store and have never had a complaint on them yet.

Eheim products in gerneral are top notch all te way around. But if this is for a reef tank I live rock(in suffeciant quantities) and a good protein skimmer is all you need.

I would spend the money on the best skimmer you can afford right now. If you are planning to upgrade to a larger tank you could also consider the Remora Pro which I feel can handle up to a 90-100 gallon tank. Also you can buy surface skim overflow/bubble trap boxes for the Remora's which help make the skimmer even a little more efficiant buy pulling water from the surface into the pump which also eliminates the film on the surface.

The Remora Pro will fit under my canopy because the canopy doesn't extend back past the tank.
There is film on the surface of the water now and I will get the surface skimmer to help clear that up.
I would like to know exactly what you are recommending as far as an excellent protein skimmer that is efficient, reliable, and trouble free.
I don't have live rocks in the tank. I feel that taking the fish from the ocean is bad enough. I used to have live rocks though. I think with a Eheim canister filter and a hang on protein skimmer, the water will be very clean and polished. Also, can you recommend a brand of phosphate free carbon? I know phosphates come from foods. I am trying to reduce as much of it as possible.
    Thanks [smiley=bouncylaugh.gif]
