Bought a new PS that either sticks to the side of the tank inside or has a hanger to hang it with. Discovered that the hanger is not wide enough for the lip of my tank so we tried using the suction cups. They're not strong enough and the PS keeps sliding down to the bottom. :(

Anyhow does anyone have a suggestion on how to make a wider hanger?
Need to fit an 1" and a half top. The one we have is 5/8".

Sounds like a good reason to plumb up a sump! ;-)

Not familiar with that model, but recognize the style and thus can work out the bracket situation

I had an internal air driven Berlin skimmer some time ago, and had same issue with Euro braced tank and suckers that did not stick

do you have any spare magnet mounts from wavemakers such as Korallias or better still Seio ? the Sei are best for this as they are oblong blocks
    you can either
1 - if the bracket back plate is far enough away from skimmer, secure this with the wet side magnet on the inside of the bracket plastic and the dry side on the outside of the tank

2 - superglue the wet side of the magnet to the backplate where the suckers used to be and then connect to tank with dry side on the outside of tank

if you are going to use the skimmer for a while
    you could also consider

    lowering the water level
    applying superglue to the suckers
affixing the skimmer bracket where you want it
it will set very quickly and then you refil the tank

the magnet mount conversion would be my preffered solution as it can be removed easily should you want to remove it

The bracket back plate is only 5/8" and the top of the tank is 1 1/4" wide so therefore the bracket doesn't fit over the top of the tank not wide enough.
But the superglue solution may be an option.

    Thanks

...this is the second time I have seen this same skimmer on this site with "issues"..you might want to consider returning it if possible, before modifying it to a point where you are stuck with it. JMO. : )
    Good luck though.
