How do you handle the power cords when hanging lights over tanks? I see they all have these nice fancy stainless steel hangers, but somewhere don't you have to run a handful of wires down to power the device?

How do you handle that without making it look junky? Do you run them up to the ceiling, or just down behind and they aren't noticable?

i actually just bought a current sundial hqi (with a metal halide, two dual actinics, and two timers). everything is integrated into one fixture with one cord! it freed up a whole lot of mess behind my tank. i just dangled my cord over the back as you can see in the photos. i really dont think it looks too bad. everybody just looks at your fish anyway.

Thanks for the pictures! You're right, I don't think anyone would notice hanging it over the back. I was concerned with trying to run it up through the ceiling.

Zjpeter, that is a cool looking tank. But tinglyl, you can zip tie your cords together so it looks like its less of a mess. I had to staple mine to the stand so it wouldnt pull the light backwards. It was annoying to have the light shine at me. Plus you can put on a hood to hide all of it.
