My Hanna Checker says my Alk is 145ppm. My APi test says alk is 6dKH. I did both tests twice with the same results. Which test should I believe? I would assume hanna, but I just want to be sure since the Hanna is saying the alk is around 8.1 dKH which is a lot more than the API at 6dKH.

From my experience with API I would definitely trust the Hanna.;)

I agree. If possible, pick up another kit...more reliable brand such as Red Sea, Salifert or Elos. My experience with API, the test kit is more useful as a paperweight.
