Hanna Instruments do a range of photometers that cover Calcium, Nitrate and phosphorous. These are digital readouts and I assume more accurate then traditional kits. Has anybody tried them, or have any thoughts?

I use the Phosphate and alk... and as soon as my current calcium kit is used up i will be buying the ca also.
They will be releasing a mag one sometime soon. I will get that too as it will make testing MUCH easier...

I just got an alk one as I'll be testing frequently when setting up my calcium reactor. I performed the test once and I'm sold on them and will probably buy more. I haven't tested against my seachem alk test to check if I did it right but its amazingly simple and kind of idiot proof if you follow the directions. Alk gives you ppm so you have to learn to understand that or convert to meq/l by dividing by 50 and to convert to dkh multiply by 2.5 then.

Thanks for the replies, I will add them to my list then :). The mag one will be great, any idea when they are likely to release that? Having a digital read out will make it so much easier then trying to match colours.

I have the alk, phos, cal, and love them..they are approx 10 ish ppm off from salifert kits that I have and are simpler to get a reading on...cant wait for the mag..hopefully soon..
