Happy Earth Day!

Yes Curt, there are those of us who believe the whole "green", "global warming" and "earth day" is purely politics, which is what I said. It just seemed a descending view was censored. I still think the original post is political but I can't delete it.

 

You're entitled to your opinion. I don't see a need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. I most certainly don't agree with everything that every group in the world is going to support today. With that said, I know that people have used Earth Day as a way to organize volunteers to clean up creeks, lakes, etc. Obviously, that's a good thing.

I really don't want a positive thread to turn negative here. I will agree that some of Earth Day/Green Movement is political. Much of it is not though and that's why I'm fine with the thread being here. The initial intent of the thread was positive, not to debate the Kyoto Treaty. If you want to discuss this further, please PM Matt or myself to avoid derailing the initial intent of the thread.
