String bands are most popular! Banjos, drums, Brass! All played live with hand made costumes and floats! Takes them all year to get ready! Groups compete for place and prizes, all raise their own money!

Tradition!

Used to be all men, now they do allow women as well!

But I don't think there were any mother's driving hummers in the parade this year!!!

 

WOW that is cool birdlady I would like to see that sometime! I wonder why I never herd of it? I'm relatively close to PA

It is pretty cool! It is an all day affair 10am to 6 pm ;D
Book your trip early!

Everyone around here has an uncle or grandad that is or used to be a Mummer! ;D
