About 2 weeks ago I put two clowns into a 10g with a fairly big frogspawn, about 6 heads. These are the only fish in the tank. One clown is an ORA picasso perc -- the other an ORA caramel ocellaris. Within a few days the perc started to host in the frogspawn. After a week the frogspawn expanded noticeably less. Now it's really not opening up at all but the perc is still rubbing.

I'm not experienced enough to know for sure that the problem with the frogspawn is clearly from the perc but there's some other LPS and SPS in the tank and they are all fully opening.

If I put a small BTA in the tank will the perc likely leave the frogspawn alone? Will a small BTA be able to handle it?

    Rock and a hard spot.

The stress with harm or kill the euphyllia, and a large clown can also stress and kill a smaller anemone. Your best bet it with the BTA.

    Good luck.

ok thanks. I'll swap it with a hammer in another tank. Hopefully the hammer will do better. At least it's bigger to spread out the love. Problem is the frogspawn is in my office tank and the hammer is at home.

If they have taken to flopping around in LPS they may do the same to the hammer. If they do, might keep both of the LPS out, introduce the BTA and after making sure they start using it, reintroduce the LPS.

The frogspawn is out, replaced by a green polyp-ed toadstool. The perc is hosting the toadstool but not as vigorously and the toadstool doesn't mind.

Its the toadstool hosting the clown not the other way around.;)
Clowns will kill most coral hosts eventually. I would put a bta in there if you don't want to lose the toadstool. You may have to remove the current host in order to get him in the bta.
