hard green assumed to be algea

    I got some green slimmy algea as well as some hard green what appears to be algea can some please help me identify what the hard green assumed to be algea is

    Probably coralline. It comes in purple, pink and green :)

    hi brother the green alge what you see mean you expose the light to youre aquaruim more than enough so .you can solve thise proplem reduce the lighting keep it 8 houre in a day maximum. keep youre system and filter alwayz clean to pravent phophat it is also another resone.put mailnly from light .

    Both :) I usually see coralline starting to grow as little round spots and then it spreads outward from there. If you scratch the green algae with your fingernail, is it chalky or no?

    I am currenlty using a phosphate binder in my tank and I agree I probably do use my light to much

    Assuming its green coralline algae, don't put it too close to the light. I did this and it bleached it all white. The green is not so easy to find.

    Huh, it comes in green? My LR has a ton of hard green on it- pictures for your viewing pleasure: (color balance off, sry)
