    A little bit about me.
I am 31, Pisces. I am an alternative (tattoo) model, have 2 kids...boy and girl- 3 and 6. I moved from the midwest after escaping an abusive relationship to live with my awesome mother in her big house in sunny SW Florida about a year and a half ago. I am now a full time pre-law student focusing on knocking out my paralegal degree and brushing up on my spanish so I will be trilingual; Spanish, English and American Sign Language.
My 6 year old son is highly functioning autistic...the smart rain man kind.
I spend all my expendable income on my 30 gallon reef because to me it's a symbol of my hard work and everything I've accomplished since 2010. Perhaps this is why I get SO upset when something dies.
My kids dad hasn't seen them in over a year and never calls. My smart autistic son wants no part of him but my 3 year old daughter is starting to make up stories about things her and her Daddy do together then asking me to check my voicemail multiple times a day. When there is nothing for her she says he must be working or asleep.
I have no interest in finding a new partner. I feel that I'm sacrificing all that to focus my energy on my kids and my education. Not until I have reached my goals of a good job, with benefits and incentives...then bought us our own house will I even consider dating.
My daughter says sometimes she wants a new Daddy. It's just something I can't give her.

In closing, our reefs are amazing. They are a reflection of what's inside us and what we are capable of creating, sustaining and nurturing.
    I'm really happy I found 3reef

welcome to 3reef:) it sounds like you're an amazingly strong person. kudos to you on all you have accomplished, and all the wonderful things you have planned for your future. Your kids are very lucky. We all get upset when one of our creatures die, whether it be coral or fish. Everyone here has different opinions, and thats a good thing. Knowing all your options lets you choose what is best for you AND your tank. Best of luck to you;)

And the one who will never talk back to you or get in trouble for not cleaning its room.lol Very nice. I get very attached to my animals and hate to see one suffer and/or die, but proper care and RESEARCH increases your odds of success immensely.Welcome to 3reef.;)
Good luck to you in chasing that dream.8)

Very impressive bio and I'm very glad you've found 3reef as well. There's actually quite a few women on here! This is a very fun, open, and helpful group of people. I wish you the best in all your endeavors and kudos to you in doing all you're doing!
