    Hi All
I have an infestation of those small gray starfish in my tank. We thought they were cute but now have a galaxy of em. My LFS has a harlequin shrimp for sale for $29 but he is small (1/2") and seems to be missing claws. May have molted? Also will my fish nibble on this little guy? We have a Blue tang, Yellow tang, ocelaris clown fish, sand goby, chromis fish and a skunk shrimp.

+1 They would need a Chocolate Chip or Sandsifting Starfish every week or two.

definately not a harlequin shrimp, sexy shrimp. I would not get a harlequin for the astrenia. I dont understand why people give them such a bad wrap. I would actually bag up those at the fish store to take and add to my system. They are great little scavengers and really can get into the rock crevices.
My harlequin would eat 1 chocolate chip star every week, with supplements of a few astrenia stars, so i would say no to getting one to control the population

I agree with Schackmel. I don't think they're that bad. They're only bad if you don't like them.

Catch all you want and send them to me. :D

Honestly, their population is usually controlled by available food..
