Agreed. They get rather large, as well.

i don't have either. If I had a sump or refugium I would just place it in there and not worry about it.

For this guy we are sentencing him to death so I kind of want to be sure.

Definitely not an emerald, no red in the inside of the elbow joints.
Gonna have to go with stone crab, too.

It's about the size of a quarter. I remember seeing it when it was the size of a pencil eraser. It was all white and almost transparent. Then it grew into what we all see now. I've never noticed anything missing and usually fed it what was left in my algae clip from time to time. I hadn't seen it for the longest time until Sunday night when I caught it.

I had a stone crab that was driving me nuts it was a pain to get out of the aquarium, lost a few fishes to the guy, until one night i come home around 2am from a bar and I swing by the aquarium and I see the lil guy on the top of my LR.... I went bananas I took down the whole aquarium! But I got him!... and gave it to my mantis :D

If u have a friend with a puffer or a Mantis, it would be a good meal and not be a death in vain.

You're in Orlando... how far from the beach? Stone crabs are native to the US east coast as well as other areas. Just a thought...
