Well that is florida! but yes. I have always loved the "Island" atmosphere! Coconut Palms, hammocks, waves crashing, sea gulls, that salty air, steel drums, and RUM!

The only problem I have with living in Trinidad is the unavailability of marine dry goods and livestock. And if they are available, the shipping costs to get stuff down here is ridiculous and it changes the prices of everything.
Florida sounds like a good idea, it's the only US state that I've visited so far besides NY but that was when I was a baby.
I have a friend in the forestry division, I'll ask her if she knows when the mangroves propagate.

I will he travels down there quite often, a few of my co-workers actually went on a dive trip down there with him.

 

I was site manager for a general contractor in the 80's and the company got a govmnt contract for a housing project in Miami. Spent 13 months down there building low income housing and flying back to SiouxFalls every other wknd. Got harder to come home each time and I never have given up the good fight or coming up with reasons to move down there since.;D
