    The necessity of iodine in a reef system is a hotly debated topic. I don't dose it and don't recommend that anybody else do either. It's nearly impossible to test for and can be highly toxic to fish and corals if overdosed.

    Any tank that has stony corals will most likely need calcium/magnesium/buffer supplementation.
