    Has anyone tried to keep a mini ecosysystem without any fish?[snails count]

    the lfs I go to has one on display only things in there are snails and some mini live rock.

    yes live rock only in a 5 gal. nano great for holding tank for any new adds that dont get along with creatures in main tank

    I have been thinking about setting up just that. A ten gallon reef tanks w/o fish. Just a few inverts and many corals.

    and that's what i have ;D and love it! i never have to worry about fish not eating/stressing out b/c i don't have any.

    what are you trying to keep??? im confused... you have a jar and a leaf and a rock... whats in there?
