    Hey guys,

I came across the prodibio line of bacteria etc that I can actually get here in Australia.

I am wondering if anyone has ever used it? Have you had good effects with it? Does it reduce algae?

I am looking to get BIO DIGEST, BIO TRACE, REEF BOOSTER, IODI+ and STRONTI+.

    Thanks Ryan.

Shin has. He just started it recently and likes it. I might be starting it too here soon.

Prodibio is a French company, their products are sold world wide.
I tried to do a bit deep research on them especially the BioDigest, since I wanted to lower the nutrients in my system.

    Issue I have/had
    -Cyano. Green and red.
    -GHA

Its been 15 days from the initial dosage. The both green and red cyano are gone. Ive tried siphoning out, aggressive water changes, but these suckers always came back. Im pretty happy that this BioDigest seems to be working.

The vials stay fresh since they come in glass vials:

Im gonna keep you guys updated on my thread :)

I used it when it was first introduced. I had a very positive experience. There is no a lot to the system but over time it just became expensive to maintain such a large system using the system.

    BIO DIGEST - bacteria
    BIO TRACE - trace elements
REEF BOOSTER - amino acids and omega 3 (hufa)
    IODI+ - iodine/iodide
    STRONTI+ - strontium

The important thing you are missing is BIOPTIM which is the carbon source to fuel the bacteria.

If I was to try again I would probably go with the just Bio Digest and Reef Booster. Those are my favorite products in their line. I would not need Bioptim as I have Ecobak pellets. I must say that I had great success with this product.

    Thanks,

Put a tester order in for Bio Digest and BIOPTIM . If all goes good, I will get the works.

I am impressed with what it claims to do. If it helps my cyano, I will give a massive plug.

It also shouldnt be to bad to maintain seeing as it will only cost me $50 per year, based on a 55g.

Hi all, my Biodigest and Bioptim arrived today. Just wondering should I turn off sump circulation? or turn off protein skimming? when I add the bacteria?

Im thinking leave sump circulation and just turn off protein skimming for an hour.

I dont keep mine fridged :) When I add the BioDigest, I take the skimmer lid off, open the water outlet all the way so the bubbles wont reach the top of the skimmer lid, aerate for a few hours. Even tho I was suggested to do this way by another reefer, I dont know if it makes ANY difference, but thats what I have been doing..
