You could always try to reinforce it with nice thick wooden braces if you really like the stand. IMO most of the stands in stored today are extremely chintzy.

It will be fine, you have to think more along the lines of what the stand can handle shear weight wise, if you say the stand that my 180s been sitting on you would probably be like WTF, but trust me they are alot stronger then you think.

We typically overbuild stands. The AGA / aqueon stands are not made the way I would make them, but they also are more than adequate.

    Stand Quality

For about the price of a good quality stand and canopy I was able to buy a 10" Skill table saw and all the necessary lumber, and build my own oak stand and canopy. After all was said and done I wound up with a very nice sturdy oak stand and canopy and a brand new table saw.

IF my vision is right this early in the morning that appears to look exactly like my 72g bow and yes the stand will more than hold.

    What size is the tank?
Looks like standard 2X4's with center brace. That will hold a hell of a lot more than you think. Wood is very strong ;)

I have the same stand under my 155 bow, It does seem not strong enogh. But I saw my identical tank and stand in a LFS once, that was filled, and had the corners cracked of the stand. The guy there said it had been like that for years. Personally, I woudn't have left it that way, but it showed me that it is well built.
