    Thanks everybody!

I am so excited to hear about the "generic" success, lol. I was expecting to hear what a rip off they were. Now there is hope that I can have a MH fixture without breaking the bank. More so, I can have SPS....woooo hoooo!

Now I just have to decide on which of the 3 I wanna get. I think I'll get the one that has the 8 LED lights, the other 2 only have 6.

I wouldn't decide based on the lunar lights, you can always add them later on for 10-20$. I just use a flashlight to see my critters at night for the time being :p

Just be sure you can find bulbs

    HI,
Many of the off brands have their own style connections and unique plugs and power supplies,
I have been using those aquatraders lights for over a year, no problems and have changed bulbs once about 1/2 the cost of coralife.
And I have been growing lots of alge and softies no hard clorals.
This model on a 55 gal OP 86 bucks for 36 in

    Now arises a new question...

Ok, now I have another question...currently I have plugged into one regular household outlet (120 volt):

    3-powerheads (2 maxijet 1200s, 1 koralia pump 1)
1-pump for wet/dry (wet/dry is large enough to service 125 gallon tank)
1-protein skimmer (SeaClone 150) (up to 150 gal tank)
    1-orbit extreme with 3 cords (520 watts)
    1-biowheel emperor 400

I wanted to know if I take out the orbit and change to one of these 760 watt MHs that we have been discussing here, would that be too much for that one outlet. I want to get a dedicated breaker, but unfortunately for now there is no room in the box and I'll have to fork out more money for that.

I am pretty much just adding 240 more watts than I had before. If nothing else I can get rid of the biowheel as my wet/dry is plenty large enough for my 75 gallon tank, but I don't think it pulls that much juice to make a difference.

    Thanks

I have had my 60" 1072 watt odyssea light for about 6 months now with no issues all is well so far great price for such a system. I did take a few extra steps when i got it i put a fan on the ballast and every diffrent system is on its own timer but i really think these lights are very under apprecieated because of there early problems all of the new post i have read have good things to say about them so if i was you i whould buy now and save because you know once they prove them selfs again the price will double.
