My wife has been mentioning an interest in a pot belly pig. Not going to happen on my watch. I have the final say when it comes to pets. One of my departments I guess you could call it.

are you out on my front porch???

Mission, my niece had one and they regretted it. The pig drank beer with the husband, cause they thought it was cute until it got to be 5-600# and got mean. He attacked the guy cause he wouldn't give him beer....and they don't taste good.

If you don't know the breeder and can't guarantee that the pig is truly wholly a pot bellied pig, don't get one.

Most people don't realize truly how violent pigs can be. They look all passive, slowly walking around eating but trust me, that can change in a second. I was hiking in the woods in Florida one year and my wife said, "Look Curt, wild pigs". I said get up in that tree right now. A combination of her weighing too much and not being strong enough meant I had to push her up the tree.....but that meant I was still on the ground. Trust me, I was sweating because they saw me and they were coming towards me. Luckily I was able to get in a tree myself.

Yes, they did charge. There was less than 10 of them but that's enough to harm me pretty good.

Wanna know how smart of a kid I was? We were visiting my uncle TJ in the country and he would pull the pregnant females and put them in their own separate area until the babies were weaned. I found that if you picked up a piglet, it would scream and then the mothers would chase you. When they got close, you could put the baby down and jump the fence. I found this great entertainment. Finally after about 15 minutes of doing this my uncle came out to investigate what all the noise was. I think I almost got spanked that day. LOL
