Buy the new tank. Tell the wife it's not worth taking the risk of flooding the house. After all, your just concerned for her welfare. What would happen if she were sitting on the floor near the tank and it split? She could drown in all that water! Give me 5 minutes and I can justify almost anything!

I have already "talked" it over with the wife and thank god, she is on board for buying the new tank. I just need to go out and shop for it. Maybe I can find a deal on "Black Friday";D. It will be the only reason that I would go out this Friday.
