Guess I have learned my lesson having a 10 buck condy in my FOWLR. Everything has been fine for over 6 months.... Til this week.

within the last week, It has eaten a mandarin goby, clownfish, and a royal gramma.

I did not know what happened to the royal gramma. I assume the thing ate him. Then, the mandarin went missing. I thought I could see him in the condy, but wasnt sure. But then today, I saw my beloved in there, right at his mouth... The coney is gone now.

Needless to say, I am pi$$Ed at my stupid decision of ever getting it. My 6 yr old begged and begged for it and I hated to say no.

I just can't figure, why now. It is far fetched, but last week I bought a bag of reef munchies. I am wondering if they got the taste of meat and went wild. That is the only recent change. It stayed put for 6 months, but this past week it has started moving like crazy.

Started not to post this cause I know what I am going to hear, but I just wanted to share my negative experience.

Thinking back on it, I remember one about 5 years ago eating a small yellow tang. Should have learned.

That's similar to the saying that it's likely for the $10 fish kill the $100 fish.

When my son had his first sw tank, my wife thought she would "surprise" him with a new anemone. She had it in the tank when he got home. It killed most of his fish, then got sucked up in a powerhead. Surprise!!!

i hope my condi doesnt eat my tomato clown... they started to host recently.. only good thing is the clown is decent sized compared to the anenome's mouth.. I only feed it once a week and its just a few mysis shrimps.. I'm sure its getting plenty of energy from my MH's though..
