Just added a oriental sweetlips(2") to my tank- and my ocellaris has started on him - and has already taken a chunk out of his fin!!, my question i haven't read anything that says not to keep these to together, as such is this likely just to be a territorial battle or will it be slaughtered by nemo?

what size tank do you have... also you could always think about rearranging the aquascape to see if that helps out

With your water change maybe remove your sweet lips for how ever long your water change last and rearangin your tank that to the fish it will seem to be a new tank and may not attack your new fish for it thinks it is in a new envoirment... remember just a idea....

Strictly as a precautionary statement. Your sweetlips isn't reef safe, has very poor eating habits and, will get 2+ feet. The sweetlips happen to be on my top ten favorite fish. The harlequin in particular. Just one of those fish that "I wish" I could keep.

UNfortunatly my sweetlips is now dead :( think the attack took it out of him - this morning he was very lathargic under a rock and had dropped all of his weight, and wasn't eating - so the answer to my inital question was yes, - probably should have rescaped prior to adding him and he may have survived, on a plus note the cow fish and cyranoid I added are doing very well (yes i know cow fish can be dangerous if they get stressed, but the cuteness of him makes it a risk worth taking- not sure if this can happen but he seems to have taken a liking to / acting like he is living in the cyranoid is it possible for cowfish/starfish to host!?!!!).
