    Ok, so a single strip wont cut it? Thats what I need to know. Does anyone make a 48" model with everything I need instead of multiple strips? I thought some of the ones I was looking was really cheaper than I anticipated. Shows how much I know about LED's. :confused:

    Yeah, I appreciate everyone's help, I've learned enough to know that LED's aren't for me, I'll stick to a new T5 setup, and be plenty happy with that. Thx again everyone.

    i highly suggest getting the pro modules, its easy to add light that way without buying a whole new fixture. they also look great and will grow anything. you probably wont need any more than 5 on the tank and you could still grow sps. or you could do the led spotlight route but youll need several and at about 300 dollars a piece its not as good a deal as the pro modules.

    I have seen some LED bulbs in the shape of FL bulbs that look like they would replace the FL bulbs in my T5. Could I go that route?

    yeah i do know they ahve t5 lamps with led'x inside. quite cool actually i havent seen many people go this route though. there may be a reason but you never know.
