My green bubble tip anemone has been shriveled up for the past 5 or 6 hours. I did feed it the day before yesterday, so is it just (hopefully) pooping, or slowly dying? I can't upload a video tomorrow morning. In the mean time, does anyone have suggestions? And in the worst case, perhaps pictures of dying/dead anemones?

I have Got to ask the normal questions.....

    Water perameters?
    Lights?

I always forget the basics! I have had it for about 5-6 months. Um, my water parameters are fine, excluding nitrate (20ppm) which is being treated with 5gal water changes once a week. I don't check calcium, mag, phos, etc. I probably should tomorrow. Lights are Nova T5s which are only 3 months old. He may be pooping, but I haven't seen it this "deflated". Help?

I just looked back on some other posts and it seems like the general opnion was that 20PPM trates will not effect an anenome...so thats a good thing!

Ok. If it does start looking like snot, can I get it off my rock and out of my tank before it kills everything?

I have a 30 gallon, and the anemone is the only coral I have in there so far. I am waiting for a protein skimmer and refuge. I am not using a phosphate sponge.

I wouldn't do anything to it. If it ends up dying you need to get it out with a net. It will litaraly fall apart! if you try to pick it up there will be pieces all over your tank.

    Maybe its ok.
