Never heard of using red wigglers, I'd be a little cautious there. I have personally used live black worms quite frequently in the past and used them to get a pair of finicky semilarvatus(golden) butterflies to eat after nearly a week of not eating...I'm not sure their availability though at most LFS's. For a lion though, I'm guessing you won't need to take such measures. They're normally not very tough to get to eat.

    Here's a link on them...

When my wrasse wouldn't eat, I used dried blood worms, soaked in garlic and squirted into the tank. That got him eating!

I dont know much about saltwater tanks/fish/etc., but i have a few chiclids (prettiest fish without the expense of saltwater equipment) but i had a young pair that wouldn't eat anything but live foods and only guppy fry if i fed them live fish, but the only main thing they would eat is live baby earthworms i found outside under rocks or etc., they shot up in size very quickly on a worm diet, idk if i had some nutrient packed super earth worms here or what but they ate, grew, and got brilliant colors very quickly, like i said dont know much at all about saltwater stuff but live worms worked great for me! goodluck hopes this helps

I've used blood worms too with great success. Coral and fish ate them up.

I've also plucked the wings off crane flys (commonly called 'skeeter eaters' down here, though they don't eat skeeters) and let those walk on the water surface... Clowns eat them anyway...

I use the blood worms as well. I make my own frozen mix of cyclops, mysis, angel food, and blood worms and my Torch and fish love it...particularly my Tang. I don't think worms would hurt as long as they aren't left in the tank if not eaten.
