Hi. sorry if it seems like im posting the same topic, but this one is about the differences in care for a Odontodactylis scyllarus and a Odontodactylis havenensis.

I assume the tank size for a havenensis could be alot smaller than that for a scyllarus, but how small can i go? This is my first salt water tank, so how difficult would it be to keep these guys?

Also the filtration... What filtration would i need for a small tank for a havensis, and could i keep a simple tree coral in there with it like in this video?

What level of water quality is needed for this? ^^^
Do you think this is too daunting of a task for a beginner?

    Thanks

FWIW, I kept an O. havenensis in a Biocube 14 (~10 gallons of water), kept mine under LED's for all my coral (SPS and an anemone at the time).

Shoot for reef like parameters and you should be fine. Keep in mind, never dose iodine or copper with any crustacean as iodine induces molting (can be stressful, lost mine to a bad molt) and copper kills.
