hello everyone i got my tank about 2 weeks ago and i seem to having to fill it up about two times a week to get the water back up to the recommended line.

i have a breeder tank idk it that has anything to do with it.

i also do not have any leaks.

i have been playing with the overflow and right now i just took it all the way out to get the water back up to recommenced.

and my last question is do you really have to put water in your tank 2 times a week that is going from minimal water level to recommend. two times a week.

things i;m thinking is that this is not normal and should i put the overflow thing back in. and put more water in.
and where is all the water going? evaporating? i do not think the water evaporates that fast.

and i have a rapids pro filter rp3 plus

I have to add water daily due to evaporation. Totally normal! That's why many of us get auto top off systems.

evaporation..... how big is the tank?? How much flow do you have, the more flow, the faster water will evaporate.

I top off 2 gallons per day on my 112 gallon system. Evaporation is normal and desired so you can get good gas exchange at the surface.

About $50. Go to AutoTopoff.com or buy a DIY top off kit and build it yourself.
