    Thanks!

Common names create some confusion sometimes, the trigger is Rhinecanthus rectangulus, the state fish of Hawaii.

Hoover (Hawaiian Reef Fishes) calls it a Picasso, Wedgetail or Reef triggerfish.

Randalls (Shore Fishes of Hawaii) calls it a Reef triggerfish.

Many people in Hawaii simply call them "Humu's".

We're talking about the same fish lol.

The state fish of Hawaii is Rhinecanthus rectangulus, which is more commonly known as the picasso triggerfish, wedgetail triggerfish or reef triggerfish (according to Randall and Hoover).

Those are all the same fish :)

This is why common names are confusing. R. rectangulus has several different common names.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Thank you so much for sharing, great images. Curious, what island or islands you were diving off, it looks like I see a wreak in one image?

I love to see the big Jacks. :)
