Anyone keep a longnose hawk in thier reef? If so how does it behave, Ive seen them in reef tanks before but have never kept one. What about the common hawk fish? I like the way they pirch on things. Will these fish eat my snails crabs brittle stars or corals?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Both Fish are reef safe with the exception of shrimp and smaller crabs. I have had the Flame and really like the fish except when it perched on my clams, other wise I never had an issue. I would not house the Flame in a nano though.

Thanks guys. Maybe down the road i'll get one for my 37 gal. I dont plan on keeping many fish in there, maybe a hawk, a small wrasse, or a few anthias. Do you think a 37 with a 10 gal sump is enough volume for this?

My longnose hawk was a model citizen when I had my reef up and running didnt even go after corals or inverts

I have an Arc Eye Hawkfish. I bought him very small and he has been well behaved in my tank.
