Yes, but the colors will be very bland. And if you are using something like a clamp on flood light the par ratings will be pretty low. Even though they seem bright. It is worth the money to just buy something better. I have used flood lights over a few freshwater tanks and they do okay for that use, but I wouldnt recommend it for anything else. Your tank could become a potential algae farm because of the low k bulb as well. Just things to consider.
