I wish my temp was as cool as yours, boostenmkiv! I have a 25 gallon Eclipse that is currently running between 83.0 - 86.0. To battle the heat I open the hood, and drop ice packs in the filter area so that the water will run over them. This works extremely well and can drop it down to a managable 82.0 degrees. I also have a ceiling fan but no other fans. I, also thought my powerheads were creating alot of heat, but when I turn them off, the heat rises! In fact, I have found that if I leave them on with the hood open, more evaporation can take place, thus cooling the tank.
