Anyone have any suggestions for a titanium heater and a controller for a 90g? I'd like to have the controller be separate from the heater, but I'm having not much luck finding any that review well. :-/ I appreciate any help..

I guess maybe I was mistaken, but the stealth heater has its own temp control? Will it still work with a controller? What would you set the stealth heater at then? Desired temp or full?

A decient controller is about 35.00 and heater is like 20 to 25.00 with the stealth just cut it up all the way and allow the controller to take care of the temps sensoringto cut heater on.. Ranco makes a good one but a little over kill I have a SPDTcontroller and it will cut heaters on if tank cools and a Fan or chiller on when tank heats up.

ive never owned a heater that's accurate, good reason for a controller, just wanting to toss in my 2c worth
I've almost always used Jager heaters but each one is so different it's weird, can have one that i can set at 85 and be in a tank that is at 76 and it doesnt turn on, i forgot what brand is in my nano but it's just as bad

Tangster, can you tell me where I can look at a SPDT controller?

My thoughts exactly. There's plenty of reviews and post on here about temperature fluctuations and the problems they cause. At least a controller helps to stabilize some of that. I'd rather spend some extra coin now than have a problem later...
