Heater Issues

    the heater is set to come on at 80 because during the day it was getting 81-82 and i didn't want the tank to have huge swings, in a few weeks i might be able to afford to get another heater

    I have my system set-up this way to. Why can't you exchange the heater for one that works right?

    200w!!! i would be terrified to have that in my tank i have a 50w turned up to 80 keeps just in case it ever got stuck on me it keeps my tank at 78-81 with the lights on

    i've already had mine for 7 weeks, i bought it from dr. foster and smith, so i don't know if they would let me exchange it/refund after this long

    I agree with that, but you may live in a climate that doesn't get too cold.
