    so i picked up a hydor theo 300watt tonight and its pretty long. i have to either put it in the sump on a very weird angle and basically render the sump useless for anything else going in it, put it in the DT, or add 2" of height to the standpipe in my overflow chamber and put it in the overflow chamber.

    i suppose the last resort would be to build a standoff plate on the bottom of the sump to allow for it to be on the bottom angled from one corner to the other and pumps above it on a plexiglass plate.

    perhaps i should have gotten two smaller 150W units?

    that would be the recommended method, also provides backup incase one gets stuck on or off - prevents that single point of failure and gives you the ability to correct it before it becomes deadly. 8)

    yeah this thing is measured at 15.5 inches head to toe.... im taking it back today and going to a regular LFS so i have some options. i was limited last night by this 24 hour store that happened to be open at 1am local time lol
