    Hey Guys/Gals!

I am in need of a heater. I have a 90 gal with a 55gal sump... I currently have 3 300w heaters that I have gotten from the LFS and I an needing something a little better. I have a hard time keeping my temp stable and I figured 900w would be enough... They are Marineland ViaTem heaters and they sure work better then the others just looking for something better that I dont have to worrie about the temp changing and the heater burning up. Any suggestions would be great!

Also, what do you guys recomend to keep your RO water at close to temp? Its only a 35gal barrel and just wondering suggestions for that too... Maybe when I upgrade my heater in my tank I can move the old ones to it...

Thanks for the Help as alwasys!

    Cole

Jager Ebo heaters are one of the best IMO. The only thing I'm bummed about is that the larger models are fairly long so I had to go with Fluval E heater which isn't too bad. My sump is on the smaller side.

I also ran a Stealth 300w in my last tank, some love them, some have problems, mine did fine, never had an issue with that model, set it once and never touched it in 8 months.

I like the stealth heaters, they are not glass or whatever and if the water gets low in the sump or where ever you are going to keep it, and the heater gets outa water and gets filled back up again, it wont explode! Thats why i like the stealth heaters.

Is there an option where I can just have one heater instead of mulit? And does the wattage really matter? I guess if I have a 1000w heater will it keep my temp more stable then a 300w heater? Or does that just help the water get up to temp and once up to temp it jsut keeps it stable from there?

Well, they make different wattages so it can fit the tank size obviously.

You can have one, but in larger tanks 2 is always nice..Say one goes bad or something and you still have an extra one in there.

In a 90g and a 55g sump, its kinda hard to get a one deal heater, its asking for bigger wattages which are a lil more harder to find and can be expensive..But IMO i would buy a few nicer 300w heaters maybe..Im not an expert on heaters really, but thats about all i know about them.
