heaters in sump

    many people put heaters in sumps. i have never had a problem with it

    I've got my heater in my sump too, seems to work. Just keep an eye on your tank temp and see how it does. If you don't have much flow through the sump there may be an issue, otherwise you should be fine.

    I have mine in the overflows and have had no issue. I would think the sump is ok too.

    I use 2. 1 in my main tank and 1 in my fuge section of my sump...I have low return flow...so my display will get chilled...

    mine is also in the sump laid flat across the bottom.
