What are good quality heaters. I need to get a couple for my 120 gallon take so 500w I believe. I have had bad experiences with marineland heaters so dont want them.

    thanks

Ya know, I have no clue to what's in my tank :)

Sort of like one of those things you set and forget about. I just check that the light is still on and its working....been years and years too. I can check tonight if its still marked.

I beleive I run a 300W in my 180 gallon and its sufficient. But I also have strong MH's and glass tops on the DT

I use Via Aqua Titaniums myself. No more glass heaters or heaters with internal controls. The titaniums have seperate controllers and thermostats/temp sensors and are very reliable and accurate.

I have 3 Marineland heaters (2 Stealth Pro 100w, 1 Stealth 100w), and a Red Sea 300w heater. A Stealth Pro and the Red Sea are on my DT.

I have my Via Aqua plugged in to my Reefkeeper Lite so if the heater fails it will only elevate one degree before the RKL shuts it off. Nice to have redundancy although I have used one for almost 7 years now with no problems yet.
