Heavy Rain PS3

Has anyone played this game? Is it worth buying? I wanted to rent it but its all rented out everyplace around here. I dont think I really want to buy it because of all the games coming out soon but I really want to play it. Any input on the game would be nice. Reviews are really good but after playing the demo it seemed kind of weird.

 

All my friends that have played it love it. I myself have only played half of the demo. It felt like an interactive movie. It's definitely going to be way different from anything else you've played. I'm planning on picking it up, but life is just a bit crazy right now and I wouldn't have time to play it even if I had it. Sorry, I know that's not much help.

 

Also, I heard about some freezing issues and I'm not sure if they've been patched yet.

 

Yeah im just trying to get any kind of input on the game. Im on the fence with this one. I just dont really know what to expect. Reviews are great but the demo def didnt sway me either way.

 

I've played the demo and liked it. I can't justify purchasing it because I've heard it can be completed in 8 hours, and it just seems like one of those games that will be 29.99 before to long. Not because its not a good game, i don't know , i could be wrong. I might just rent it.

 

That would be very disappointing if it was only 8 hours. One of my friends played another game that was made by the same developer and he said if Heavy Rain was anything like that game it would be really good and could spend 20+ hours playing easily. There are a lot of games that can be beat in 8-10 hours but I def like to explore but I dont know how much exploration will be allowed in the game

 

a game i can beat in 8 hours is a plus to me. games that take 40+ hours to get through .... i love them, but i just don't have that kind of time...

I am however playing fallout3... but that's the only long game I'll probably play this year... batman is next... i heard that is only about 16 hours...

I'm about 67 hours of wasted life into it now...

and i always wait for prices to drop (unless it's a gift )

 

Fallout 3 is amazing and you can spend forever playing that game. Batman wont take you 16 hours. 8 sounds more reasonable. it was fun but really easy.

Anyone else know anything about heavy rain?

Those are 2 of my favorite games. I don't even want to know how many hours I've sank into Fallout 3. Fallout: New Vegas is supposed to come out this year and looks like it will be similar. If you're a Batman fan, then you'll love Arkham Asylum. It's hands down the best comic book game that's been made.
