Hi All: I noticed that my hector's goby who is so darn cute was missing the other day - thought it might be hiding. Well, as the title says, I was cleaning around the tank and saw the poor little guy in the overflow. He looks to be fine - however, the overflow is very deep and I can't reach him with a net (he obviously runs from the net).....any advice? I'm not sure how to get him out of there.....

Hector's gobies have a very specific diet and are actually hard to keep in home aquaria in smaller tanks, where algae is less prevalent.

That being said as a last case resort you could try siphoning him out.

I would siphon him out mindy and I think he'll be just fine in your tank with the diet and care you give your fish. Just saying ;)

I used a Turkey baster to send my clown on a ride to my sump. I netted him there.

well, I've been unsuccessful twice in trying to get him out of the overflow - I siphoned the whole overflow twice and he hides in a minute amount of water. Any other ideas? he seems quite content in the overflow :(
