    I put the new sand in a pitcher and pored it in as close to the bottom as I could. Then you just wait for it to settle, ran filter socks for about a week to pull the grim out. Did a water change last night and my Nitrates are down to 20 now!! woohoo!

    I had the sailfin before. Believe it or not he and the Yellow were buddies :( SailFin is too big now to add another tang of his body shape so I guess he will just have to get along without a new buddy for a while. I have been looking at big yellow replacements as in minic tangs and angels... we will see :p

    Oh I see.. sorry I got confused (I thought the sailfin was called freckles)... Yea, I have a hippo and a sailfin in my 90, but they are not best friends even tho they share the same veggie clip.

    Got a question about the SPS placement: what is the height from the green acro (?) in the middle to the light?
